Turner Freeman Lawyers are a national plaintiff law firm with a proud history of over 65 years acting for and protecting the rights of injured people.

We currently have a role for an experienced legal secretary to assist in our Institutional Abuse team. This is a full time role and will be based at our Sydney office.

ABOUT YOU

  • Ideally you will have at least 2 to 3 years’ experience working in personal injury litigation;
  • Previous experience working in Institutional Abuse litigation would be preferred, however not essential;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Excellent organisational skills;
  • Ability to prioritise workloads and work to deadlines;
  • Strong attention to detail;
  • Minimum of 70 wpm typing;
  • Intermediate knowledge across the Microsoft Suite;
  • Experience in iManage and Aderant would be highly desirable;
  • Be empathetic towards our clients’ needs and expectations;

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Digital dictation;
  • Preparation of court documents and correspondence;
  • Preparing briefs to counsel;
  • File management including daily filing;
  • Diary management;
  • Scheduling of appointments with doctors and co-ordinating conferences with counsel;
  • General secretarial duties of a high volume.
