Turner Freeman is a national plaintiff law firm with 19 offices across the country.
We are currently seeking to employ a Technology Trainer to design, implement and deliver ongoing learning and development programs and to monitor the effectiveness of those programs, to increase the adoption and best practice utilisation of technology and to enhance efficiency across the firm.
This is a national role and travel to interstate offices may be required.
The role will be based out of our Parramatta office where you will work closely with the HR team.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Ensuring that all staff are well educated in the best practice use of current and any new technologies deployed from time to time including:
- Aderant Expert and Case;
- iManage;
- PDF Docs;
- Microsoft Office 365;
- Contract Express.
- Development of new training materials, training outlines and support guides and tailoring those materials as required
- Creating and maintaining e-learning content
- Updating training materials and course guides to reflect system upgrades and changes
- Delivery of training sessions including new staff induction training, educating existing staff on new/ changing technology, training programs in line with project rollouts, bespoke additional training and refresher courses
- Identifying IT knowledge gaps across the firm through consultation with staff and creating and delivering specific training sessions
- Working alongside HR on any escalated issues requiring training
- Reviewing the progress of new staff following induction and providing ongoing training and support as necessary
- Maintaining training records and preparing a monthly report of training sessions conducted and attendance statistics
- Evaluating the effectiveness of each training session, monitoring the feedback given on courses and making changes to the sessions as appropriate
Essential Skills and Experience
- A training/assessment qualification such as Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is essential;
- Experience as a technology trainer in a legal environment is highly desirable;
- Experience in Aderant Expert and Case software is essential;
- Sound knowledge and experience in iManage software is highly desirable;
- Advanced knowledge of Office 365 Suite;
- Experience in PDF Docs;
- Sound understanding of practice management and accounting systems, document management systems and precedent technology
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly present information in an engaging manner
- Highly organised and proactive
- A demonstrated ability to quickly learn and adopt new systems and software
- Able to work on a scheduled and ad hoc basis
