Turner Freeman Lawyers has an opportunity for an experienced Marketing Manager to drive the marketing function for the firm in New South Wales and South Australia. Based in Parramatta, the aim of this position is to help the firm continue to build its brand in the highly competitive personal injury (and private client legal services) market. This is a role with variety and responsibilities which include to:

  • Track and report on the outcomes of the firm’s marketing strategy and make recommendations to the partnership on future initiatives;
  • Liaise and work with external media agencies to implement technical recommendations for SEO and SEM improvement;
  • Prepare reports on the success of our digital marketing campaign;
  • Manage the firm’s suite of marketing collateral including updating existing collateral and developing new collateral as required;
  • Liaise with incoming senior professionals to create their profiles, update existing profiles as required;
  • Coordinate the firm’s quarterly external newsletter and any other marketing related mail outs;
  • Manage the firm’s relationship with advertisers and coordinate advertising campaigns including print, billboard and radio;
  • Coordinate events such as pop up stores and legal clinics;
  • Manage the firm’s portfolio of sponsorships, negotiate renewals and new sponsorships;
  • Work with the Web Communications Manager to promote the firm online and through social media channels;
  • Coordinate and assist with writing tenders, submissions and proposals.

The candidate

The role is a demanding one and requires someone who is able to work fairly autonomously and drive projects to fruition. Our ideal applicant will have:

  • A tertiary qualification in Marketing;
  • Have a strong understanding of SEO and SEM, with a strong focus on the technical side and be up to date with SEO trends;
  • Have at least 2 + years’ experience in optimising websites for SEO;
  • Previous experience in a similar role either gained in legal (preferred) or professional services;
  • The ability to analyse websites search performance for both desktop and mobile;
  • Demonstrated project management skills – you’ll need to be able to plan and execute multiple projects without dropping the ball;
  • Exceptional written communication skills;
  • Excellent ability to build relationships, negotiate and influence others.
