Turner v. QBE: Turner Freeman successfully acted for a former flight attendant in a global precedent setting case. On appeal from the Dust Diseases Tribunal, the NSW Court of Appeal upheld an award of damages for the health consequences of exposure to fumes while onboard a BAe 146 airliner.

In a global precedent setting case, the NSW Court of Appeal upheld a decision of the New South Wales Dust Diseases Tribunal  awarding damages to an airline cabin attendant for the health consequences of exposure to fumes while onboard a BAe 146 airliner.

Turner Freeman partner, Tanya Segelov, acted for Joanne Turner, the plaintiff in the proceedings.

A large number of legal cases worldwide relating to fumes entering cabins in the aircraft had failed before Turner Freeman succeded in prosecuting this claim last year.
