Raising money for research

With October being Breast Cancer awareness Month, the Queensland Wills and Estates Department led by Jenna Hutchinson turned the Brisbane Office Pink, with a Free Dress Day, Pink Morning Tea, jelly bean guess and raffle on Friday 28 October 2016.

In Australia 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with Breast Cancer before the age of 85. It is estimated that in 2016, 15,934 Australian women will be diagnosed with breast cancer or approximately 44 each day.  This disease does not just affect women, but also men, with 150 men diagnosed with breast cancer every year.

The event was a success with the Department raising over $500.00 for the National Breast Cancer Foundation. The National Breast Cancer Foundation’s goal is to reduce the impact of breast cancer through research and achieve zero deaths from breast cancer.

The Queensland Turner Freeman Wills and Estates Department wants to make this an annual event to raise much needed funds to support people going through such a horrible disease.

There is still time to donate, if you would like to donate to such a great cause, please follow the link below:
