Case study – James Hardie employess

James Hardie operated two factories in Western Australia at Rivervale and Welshpool. Both factories manufactured asbestos building and insulation products including cement sheeting, corrugated cement sheeting and cement pipes.

The employees worked in different sections of the factory including on the mixing machines and the finishing department. They were extensively exposed to asbestos dust and fibres.
