Turner Freeman acts for flight attendant

A Turner Freeman Senior Associate and accredited specialist in employment and industrial law, acts for Jessie Holgersson in an important case under the Fair Work Act.

Ms Holgersson undertook two training flights with Qantas and hoped to offered a position as a flight attendant. However, after she raised concerns following an engine failure, she was told that she was unsuccessful in her application.

Her claim alleges that Qantas breached the general protections obligations of the Fair Work Act in failing to offer her employment because she raised an issue in relation to a workplace right.
