About the Opportunity
Turner Freeman Lawyers has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Legal Litigation Secretary to join their Asbestos practice based in Perth.
In this role, you will provide high level administrative and secretarial assistance to a Partner and one lawyer within the Perth office.
To be successful in this position you should have excellent presentation skills, good communication and organisational skills and possess a “can do” attitude and a willingness to work within a team with a friendly and positive demeanor.
Specifically your duties will include but not be limited to:-
- Dictaphone typing of correspondence;
- Assisting Partner with office managerial type tasks;
- Client liaison at front of house;
- An ability to communicate clearly and effectively;
- Drafting letters and typing general correspondence;
- Compilation of briefs;
- Assisting with the preparation of court documents;
- Maintaining and managing diary appointments, filing, schedules, and travel bookings;
- Organising meetings with clients, legal representatives and relevant external parties;
- Receipting of cheques to trust account.
Suitable candidates must have demonstrated experience of 3+ years, in a comparative Legal Secretary role. It is imperative you have excellent computer skills particularly in Microsoft Work and Outlook, a typing speed of 70+ wpm and knowledge of digital dictaphone typing.
You’ll be flexible in your approach to your workload, adapting to constantly changing and completing priorities, in what can be a high pressure environment. The ability to multi task to meet deadlines, a high attention to detail, as well as a positive attitude to both internal and external client service will also be essential to succeed in this role. As you will be preparing corporate communication and legal documents as part of your daily duties, strong communication skills are also required.
Turner Freeman Lawyers is looking for a self driven candidate who will be able to hit the ground running and have a seamless transition into the role, drawing on your years of experience in similar positions.
This is a full time position with working hours of 9:00am to 5:30pm.
