Elisa Shain

Elisa is an Associate in Turner Freeman’s Wollongong office, practising in personal injury law. She has experience across a broad range of matters, including workers compensation and work injury damages claims, motor vehicle accident claims, public and occupiers’ liability claims, medical negligence, and superannuation claims involving total and permanent disablement (TPD) and income protection.

Having lived in Wollongong her whole life, Elisa has strong ties to the local community and an understanding of the people and region she serves. She recognises that pursuing a compensation claim can be challenging and strives to provide clients with compassionate support and understanding throughout their matter.

Elisa began working exclusively in personal injury law as a law clerk two years before her admission as a solicitor in 2023. She also has experience in family law, including property settlements and parenting matters, and is currently undertaking a Master of Applied Law (Family Law).

Elisa is also actively involved in the Wollongong community. She has served as President of the Wollongong & District Law Society since March 2025, having previously been its Young Lawyers Representative from 2023 to 2025.

In 2025, Elisa was named a finalist in the Health, Medical and Personal Injury category of the Lawyers Weekly 30 Under 30 Awards.
