Injustice of the new NSW Compensation Scheme

Richard Dababneh, Partner appeared on A Current Affair discussing the injustice of the new NSW Compensation Scheme. Mr Dababneh, acts for Mr Jim Henry, a former storeman who injured his back whilst stacking bags of fertiliser.

After numerous surgeries on his back Mr Henry is in constant pain. An agreement between himself and his former employer at the time was made and that all future medical expenses would be met, however on 1 January 2014 when new legislation was passed by the NSW Government it meant that Mr Henry was no longer covered as he didn’t meet the appropriate threshold.
