What is Dust Disease Care?
Dust Diseases Care is a statutory body which was set up by the NSW state government to compensate NSW workers who have been diagnosed with a dust disease and their dependents . If your application is successful, you will be entitled to fortnightly payments, medical expenses and ancillary expenses (such as cleaning and gardening). Your dependents (such as children under the age of 18 and spouses) may also be entitled to compensation. Dust Diseases Care does not provide lump sum payments to workers who have been diagnosed with a dust disease.
If your application is accepted by Dust Diseases Care, it is likely that you will have entitlements to lump sum compensation for your dust disease through a court claim. Who is eligible to make a claim with Dust Disease Care?
