We live in an era where medicine is relatively advanced and the range of available treatments is constantly expanding with scientific discoveries and medicinal developments.

Patients often find themselves in situations where they are either misinformed or inadequately informed of the risks of experimental treatments at the time that they consent to undergoing treatment.
Such treatments are often unregulated and their efficacy is untested with poor insight into potential long-term side effects.
