Turner Freeman Lawyers is proud to announce our partnership with APIA Leichhardt Football Club, becoming the major sponsor of the club’s women’s football program for the 2025 and 2026 seasons. This partnership reflects our ongoing dedication to supporting the community and promoting opportunities for women in sport.
APIA provides the best female football program in NSW. In recent years they have been the most successful female club in the National Premier League (NPL), the elite competition conducted by Football NSW.
In 2023 the First Grade Women’s squad won the Premiership and the Saphire Cup double and the club won the Club Championship. In 2024 the first-grade squad repeated the success of 2023 and the Club recorded the outstanding achievement of having all 6 of its elite squads, from Under 14’s to First Grade, finishing in the top 2 places and playing in the semi-finals. For the second year, they won the Club Championship.
As the front-of-shirt sponsor, Turner Freeman will proudly feature on the kits of APIA Leichhardt’s NPL Women’s NSW First Grade side, Girls Youth League teams, and Elite Development Program teams. This marks Turner Freeman’s first major venture into women’s sport and aligns with our long-standing tradition of encouraging excellence and inclusivity.
Turner Freeman Managing Partner Armando Gardiman AM expressed his pride in this new partnership:
“To be truly honest, it’s one of the proudest moments of my life to be involved with this club in the womens’ and girls’ space. It’s something I have really wanted to do for a long time, and I’m really really proud to be doing it.”
“We’re huge supporters of women’s football and I think you’ve only got to see the fact that next season we are going to support all of the APIA community teams as well – there’s fourteen to fifteen teams of girls that play in that community space, and we are going to sponsor all of them!”
Driving APIA Leichhardt’s Women’s Program forward
APIA Leichhardt General Manager Matteo Maiorana welcomed Turner Freeman as a key supporter of the club’s women’s football initiatives.
“It’s a monumental moment in the history of our women’s program” Mr. Maiorana stated.
“Turner Freeman’s support allows us to continue our success on the field and build our reputation as one of the best women’s clubs in New South Wales. It’s an exciting collaboration, and we are proud to have their name on our kits.”
“On the field, success has been coming for a while now, and on the back of back-to-back Club Championships, the club continues to rise.”
“I’m really, really excited and very proud I’ve been able to have such a massive brand join us, and I think [the partnership] is going to work really well for both parties.”
“We’ve got a drive to continue to be one of the best women’s clubs in New South Wales, and Turner Freeman is one of the leading law companies, so it’s a really really good joint partnership.”
Celebrating community and opportunity
The partnership will officially launch with the 2025 season, and we look forward to seeing the APIA Leichhardt women’s teams achieve great things on the field and in the community. Stay tuned for more updates as we embark on this exciting journey together.
