Alana specialises in asbestos disease claims and is the branch manager of our Perth office. Given the size of Western Australia Alana travels throughout the state to meet with clients who suffer from mesothelioma, asbestosis, diffuse pleural fibrosis, pleural thickening, lung cancer and pleural plaques at their homes or in hospital.
Alana joined Turner Freeman Perth in June 2010 having previously worked as a scientist and is recognised as a leading and recommended expert in asbestos litigation in Western Australia by the Doyle’s Guide.Alana is passionate about representing clients who have been diagnosed with asbestos disease and now find themselves struggling with breathlessness/shortness of breath, chest pain, fatigue and in the instance of mesothelioma, weight loss, nausea and immunotherapy/chemotherapy side effects.For more than a decade now Alana has assisted countless clients achieve the compensation they deserve by bringing claims against James Hardie the manufacturer of asbestos cement sheeting as well as for mine workers and residents of Wittenoom, the blue asbestos mine operated by CSR Limited and Australian Blue Asbestos. She has also successful brought claims against the State and Commonwealth Governments, Alcoa of Australia Limited, BP Refinery, WA Newspapers as well as smaller employers and in instances where the client did not initially know where they were exposed to asbestos.
Alana handles claims for clients exposed to asbestos in Western Australia, New South Wales and the United Kingdom.
She acts on behalf of persons injured in motor vehicle accidents in claims against the Insurance Commission of Western Australia.
