Scott Clark
Scott's Expertise
Scott is an Associate in Turner Freeman’s Sunshine Coast office in Maroochydore, practising in personal injury law. He assists clients with workers compensation and work injury damages claims, motor vehicle accident claims, public liability, medical negligence, and total and permanent disability (TPD) claims.
With more than a decade of legal experience, principally in personal injury, compensation, insurance and litigation, Scott has acted for both injured people and major insurers. This experience has given him an understanding of how claims are investigated, assessed, negotiated and defended from both perspectives.
Scott’s experience ranges from relatively straightforward injury claims to complex matters involving catastrophic and brain injuries, significant psychological conditions, permanent disability, disputed liability and substantial economic loss. His medical negligence experience includes matters involving surgical errors, misdiagnosis and delayed diagnosis, prescription errors, birth injuries, nervous shock and dependency claims arising from wrongful death. He also assists with insurance claims, including TPD and trauma claims.
Scott understands that clients often seek legal assistance during one of the most difficult and uncertain periods of their lives. He takes the time to listen and understand how an injury has affected different aspects of a client’s life, while explaining the legal and claims process in clear and practical terms.
His approach is down-to-earth, thorough and strategic, with a focus on protecting his clients’ interests and reducing the stress of the claims process while working towards the best possible outcome.
