Due to continued growth in our industrial and employment department nationally, we are seeking an experienced Lawyer or Associate with one to five years’ PAE to join our Brisbane office. The Industrial and Employment practice is a national practice group, with its central base in Brisbane. Turner Freeman Lawyers also has a long trade union tradition and acts for a number of trade unions nationally and in various states.

Industrial and Employment Lawyer or Associate
We have a new opportunity for an enthusiastic Industrial and Employment Lawyer or Associate to join our Brisbane office. The role involves working on a wide range of employment matters, including litigation in state and territory courts, institutional client work, work for plaintiffs, claimants and applicants across various matters, including human rights claims and general employment matters.
The role will enable you the opportunity to utilise your existing skills and develop your expertise and skill set by assisting the team to pursue a variety of claims under the supervision of an experienced Partner, who is an Accredited Specialist in Workplace Relations in both Queensland and Victoria.

Applicants should demonstrate:
- A current Queensland Practising Certificate or the ability to obtain one;
- Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and time management;
- Strong legal research skills;
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills;
- Technical competence with the ability to build on and perform consistently in the role;
- Experience in employment, industrial relations or litigation;
- The capacity to work to targets;
- Strong analytical, advocacy and problem solving skills;
- Initiative, sound judgment and a commitment to continuous learning.
