Legal Secretary – Canberra

We are currently in the market for an experienced legal assistant to support our Special Counsel, who primarily focuses on Historical Institutional Abuse work. The practice will be general personal injury with a focus on historical abuse.
Your role will be varied and will include:-
- Drafting of legal documents and correspondence;
- Liaising with clients, medical professionals and other relevant third parties;
- On-line court filing;
- Extensive diary management;
- File management;
- Preparation of briefs.
ABOUT YOU:
- Ideally have at least 3+ years’ experience assisting in a busy, fast paced litigation practice;
- Strong organisational and time management skills;
- Excellent attention to detail;
- Experience in Aderant Expert and iManage will be an advantage, however not essential as full induction training will be provided;
- Excellent Word and Outlook ability;
- Friendly and positive attitude.
Law Students will be considered for this role, however you must be able to work full time hours from 8:30am to 5:00pm, Monday to Friday.
