As our Industrial & Employment Law practice continues to grow, we’re seeking a full time onsite Legal Assistant to join our Brisbane team. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a nationally recognised practice group that acts for employees, unions, and workers across Australia.

About the Role

Working closely with experienced lawyers, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring matters progress smoothly while providing exceptional support to both clients and the legal team. No two days will be the same, making this an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast paced and collaborative environment.

Previous experience in an office or administrative environment will be highly regarded, although attitude, enthusiasm and a willingness to learn are equally important.

Key Responsibilities

Your duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Answering, screening, and transferring incoming calls, and responding to or redirecting queries to the appropriate staff member.
  • The ability to take detailed and accurate messages is essential for a high volume of calls;
  • Demonstrate a professional phone manner and strong verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on rapport building and empathy;
  • Apply previous customer service experience to actively manage client relationships, resolve complaints, or escalate issues as necessary;
  • Provide high‑level customer service, ensuring accuracy in data entry and billing, and supporting proactive diary management.
  • Data management – Maintain and update client records and databases; and
  • High volume of administrative tasks.

Salary is consistent with similar positions within the Award market.
