Turner Freeman Lawyers have recently been in the news with several news outlets covering a significant outcome that was achieved for one of our clients.

Ms Jane was awarded $750,000.00 plus costs payable by Bunnings due to a significant back injury sustained whilst working at a Bunnings Seven Hills premises in 2018.

Ms Jane has been represented by our Parramatta Partner, Mr Luke Power since early 2019.

Following a six-year ordeal, Ms Jane has finally achieved the justice she rightfully deserved and has been able to resolve her claim and put this matter behind her.

On 9 September 2018, whilst working at Seven Hills Bunnings, Ms Jane was required to lift various buckets of fertiliser weighing between 10kg and 15kgs that were stacked on top of one another on a pallet. The pallet was located under a shelf approximately 1 metre above floor level.  Our client was required to lift and pull the buckets forward to present them to customers. In order to rearrange the buckets, our client was required to contort her body in awkward positions. In doing this, our client severely injured her lumbar spine which later required surgery.  She has been unable to return to employment due to the significance of the injury.  Despite significant pushback from the insurer throughout the course of the litigation, Turner Freeman Lawyers stood by Ms Jane until she achieved the outcome she deserved.

Turner Freeman Lawyers are determined to make a difference in our clients lives and are not afraid in litigating matters to achieve the outcomes our clients deserve.
