Go back to careersWe are seeking a motivated and client-focused Property and Wills & Estates Lawyer to join our growing legal team. This is an excellent opportunity for a lawyer who enjoys variety, autonomy and meaningful client contact across conveyancing, property transactions, estate planning and estate administration matters.
About the role
In this role, you will manage a mixed caseload of property and wills and estates matters, working directly with clients and supported by experienced legal and administrative staff. You will have carriage of files from initial instructions through to completion, while contributing to a professional, collaborative and service-oriented practice.
Key responsibilities
- Manage residential and commercial conveyancing matters, including contract reviews, leases, exchanges, settlements and post-settlement requirements.
- Advise clients on property transactions, including purchases, sales, transfers and related legal issues.
- Prepare wills, powers of attorney, appointments of enduring guardian and other estate planning documents.
- Assist with probate, letters of administration and estate administration matters.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, agents, banks, accountants, counsel and other stakeholders.
- Draft correspondence, advice, court documents and other legal documentation with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Maintain strong file management, compliance and billing practices.
- Support business development initiatives and help build long-term client relationships.
About you
- Admitted as a solicitor in New South Wales with a current practising certificate.
- Ideally 3+ years post-admission experience in property law, wills and estates, succession planning or a related practice area.
- Confident managing files with minimal supervision.
- Strong drafting, communication and client relationship skills.
- Excellent attention to detail, organisation and time management.
- A practical, empathetic and commercially minded approach to client service.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Experience on PEXA platform is essential.
