Administration of the Settlement Scheme concerning patients of The Cosmetic Institute

Notices of Assessment were issued to all Participating Group Members on 22 August 2025.

The Assessed Compensation Amount is made up as follows:

1. The assessed value of the claim pursuant to the Damages Protocol at Schedule 1 Scheme;
2. Less applicable deductions pursuant to the Deductions Protocol at Schedule 2 of the Scheme;
3. A prorated adjustment to reflect the settlement fund available for distribution pursuant to clause 9 of the Scheme.

Payment timing

Payments will not be made to participating group members until such time as:

1. The 28-day period for seeking a Compensation Review has expired;
2. All applications for Review (if any) have been determined;
3. Any final adjustments up or down have been made in accordance with clause 9 of the Settlement Distribution Scheme;
4. A validly completed, signed, witnessed and dated Deed Poll has been returned;
5. All Required Repayments have been made to Medicare, private health funds and other third-parties as applicable.

Next steps

A final Notice of Assessment is anticipated to be issued to Participants on or before 25 November 2025, following the expiration of the Review period and payment of third-party repayments.

We will continue to correspond with Participating Group Members by email, and updates will also be available on the website.

Participating Group Members have a duty to comply with requests for information from the Administrator within any timeframes specified (cl 11 of the Scheme). We ask for your continued cooperation in this regard, so as not to delay the final distribution.
