Congratulations to the below staff on their appointments:
Alana currently works as an Associate in the Perth office. She specialises in Dust Diseases litigation. Alana started with us an administrative assistant in 2010. She then progressed to legal clerk. In 2017 she was admitted and commenced to practice as a lawyer with the Firm. She has been an Associate since 2019.
Her primary speciality is dust diseases litigation. Since 2020 she has assumed conduct of all of the institutional abuse clients in the Perth office.
Jess works in our Adelaide office. She started with the Firm in August 2013 as a law clerk. She was then a second year law student. She continued to work with us until she was admitted to practice in July 2017. She was appointed to the position of Associate in July 2019.
Since commencing work as a lawyer with our Firm her practice has consisted of a mixture of personal injury work including dust diseases litigation, general workers compensation and noise induced hearing loss claims.
Jess has worked closely with Annie Hoffman in some of our most important dust diseases cases.
Gordon was admitted to legal practice in NSW as long ago as 1994 and has vast experience in all forms of personal injury litigation. He relocated to Queensland in 1997, took a position with WorkCover QLD in 2001.
In March 2018 he joined our Brisbane office where he worked under the supervision of Harry Dignan. In January 2019 Gordon was invited to relocate to our North Lakes Office reporting to the Branch Manager Tamaryn Caldwell.
Gordon is the only general personal injury lawyer in the North Lakes office and does the full range of general personal injury work in that office.
Mumtash is employed in our Sydney office in the Wills and Estates Department. She has been with us since November 2018 and does highly complex, specialised litigation under the supervision of Terry Goldberg. Her aspiration is to be a specialist disputed wills Lawyer.
Philip joined the Firm at our Campbelltown office in September 2019. Since starting with us at Campbelltown he has built up a very large plaintiff personal injury practice specialising in workers compensation and CTP claims. He has provided critical support to the Branch Partner, Nathan Bonello-Edwards in developing and managing what is now the largest personal injury practice in south western Sydney.
Patrick is employed at our Ipswich office. He commenced with the Firm in October 2018. In the period that he has been with us he has made a significant contribution to Firm’s Ipswich office and provides important support for Matthew O’Keefe in the running of the Ipswich office.
Patrick is developing specialist knowledge across various areas of personal injury work and has a particular passion for pure psychiatric injury claims, some of the most difficult cases that personal injury lawyers confront. This is an increasingly important area of the law given the greater understanding that we now have as a society of mental health issues.
The Partners congratulate this group of practitioners who have been rewarded with promotions reflecting the hard work that they have done, the contribution that they have made to Turner Freeman and the dedication that they have shown.
