Turner Freeman Lawyers is a national law firm with over 70 years experience and as a result of continued growth, is currently seeking to employ an Administration assistant in our Logan Central office.

The Candidate

Suitable candidates must have demonstrated experience of 1+ years in an office role or similar. It is imperative you are beginning your law degree and are looking to gain experience from employment in a highly reputable law firm.

You’ll be flexible in your approach to your workload, adapting to constantly changing and completing priorities. The ability to multi task to meet deadlines, a high attention to detail, as well as a positive attitude to both internal and external client service will also be essential to succeed in this role.

To be successful in this position you should have excellent presentation skills, good communication and organisational skills and possess a positive attitude and a willingness to work within a team with a friendly and positive demeanour.

The Role

The role is varied and the expectation is for you to provide quality support and assistance to the Partner, Solicitors and staff. Your secretarial & administrative duties include but are not limited to:

Reception duties

  • Attending to all incoming and outgoing mail including collection of mail and deliveries;
  • Assisting with general overflow of work around the office e.g. volume of photocopying, collation and preparation of briefs to counsel, scanning of documents and filing as directed;
  • Accurate typing speed of 60+ words and an advanced knowledge of Word and Outlook;
  • File management including a high volume of filing and secretarial duties;
  • Scheduling and coordinating client appointments with doctors;
  • Monitoring stationary levels and consumables and placing orders as required;
  • Reception duties where necessary, includes taking detailed and accurate messages;
  • Request & archive electronic files; and
  • Extensive ongoing housekeeping and general office duties.

Previous office experience and skills will be looked upon favourably. This is a role where you are highly depended upon so initiative and personal motivation are essential.
