About the role

Turner Freeman is seeking a dedicated Legal Assistant to join our Personal Injury team in our Newcastle office. This is a full-time role and you must be able to work 5 days per week from 8.30am to 5.00pm.

What you’ll be doing

  • Provide administrative support to solicitors, including arranging appointments, managing diaries, and preparing documents and correspondence
  • Assist with the preparation of court documents, affidavits, and other legal documents
  • Liaise with clients, medical providers, and other external parties to gather information and facilitate the progression of cases
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic and physical filing systems
  • Coordinating diary management, scheduling appointments, organising meetings.
  • Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment

What we’re looking for

  • Demonstrated experience in a legal administrative or secretarial role, preferably within a personal injury practice
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and other stakeholders
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite, with the ability to quickly learn new software and systems
  • A keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work
  • Demonstrated
  • experience in handling confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
